f. How to move within the map and view summary property information

1. Scale Bar

This function can also be used to navigate around the map. The direction arrows at the top of the scale serve the same function as the Pan icon, allowing the user to move left, right, up or down. Each notch on the scale bar allows the user to zoom in or out a layer on the map as required. The user can also “jump” to a specific notch and the map will move to that layer. The user can also click on the + button or the – button to move one notch at a time up or down the scale.

2. Map Icons

Select from these map icons to move within the map and retrieve information for a particular property. The background of the selected icon will turn white.

Zoom In - Hold mouse down and drag a rectangle over the extent of the map you wish to zoom to or point and click and the map will zoom and re-center the map on that point.

Zoom Out - Hold mouse down and drag a rectangle over the extent of the map you wish to zoom out to or point and click and the map will zoom out and re-center the map on that point.

Pan - Hold mouse down and drag the map image to a new position.

Full Extent – Returns to the full map of Saskatchewan.

Back Extent – Takes the map back to where you were.

Forward Extent – Takes the map forward to where you were.

Print - Click to print the map that is visible on the screen.

3. Map Identify Icon (summary property information)

a. Map Identify Icon: All properties except condominiums

After selecting the map identify icon, the user can click on the property and a minimized pop-up will appear. The expand triangle in the pop-up can be clicked to reveal a property information summary. The user can click Add to Results, which copies the information to the Search Results. The user can click on the X to close the pop-up or the collapse triangle to minimize the information. The underlined words within the pop-up summary are linked to the beginning of the Glossary, rather than the specific definition.

b. Map Identify Icon: Condominiums only

After selecting the map identify icon, the user can click on a property that has condominiums and a minimized pop-up will appear. (The user can click on the X to close the pop-up or the collapse triangle to minimize the information.) There are two different ways to access the condominium information from the pop-up

1. Expand the pop-up and click on Add All to Results

If the user clicks on the expand triangle the property information summary for the master condominium property will be revealed. The user can click Add All to Results, which copies all the individual condominium units and the master condominium information to the Search Results. Alternatively, the user can click Add to Results, which copies only the master condominium information to the Search Results. The collapse triangle can be used to minimize the master condo information.

2. Use the drop-down menu in the pop-up. Click on the desired condominium unit.

If the user clicks on the drop-down menu, an assessment ID number list of all the individual condominium units and the master condominium will appear. The individual condominium unit number appears in brackets following the assessment ID number.

The user can click on the desired assessment ID number and the pop-up with summary information on that individual condominium unit will appear. The user can click Add to Results, which copies only that individual condominium unit information to the Search Results. Alternatively, the user can click Add All to Results, which copies all the condominium units and the master condominium information to the Search Results.
